BERKELEY HEIGHTS, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — Dozens of firefighters are battling a fast-moving brush fire in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey.

Homes in the surrounding communities are on high alert due to strong winds, CBS2 reported.

The blaze, stretching more than 5 acres, started just after 2 p.m.

The fire shut down the right and center lanes of Interstate-78, causing a massive traffic back up for miles.
