Knicks' Derrick Williams Loses $750G In Jewelry, Designer Goods To Theft

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- New York Knicks forward Derrick Williams was the victim of a $750,000 theft after taking two women home from a club on 14th Street, sources said.

Sources say Williams, 24, met two the two suspected women while out with his friends at the Up & Down nightclub on 14th Street near Eighth Avenue. The women went back to Williams' apartment later that night, sources say. Williams' roommate was also with them, sources said.

When Williams and his roommate woke up at around 7 a.m. Sunday, the women had disappeared, along with a Louis Vuitton backpack and an estimated $617,000 in jewelry, sources said.

Sources said Williams told police it happened after the Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76'ers Friday night.

Police are still investigating, and no arrests have been made. Sources said there is no indication the incident was part of a larger pattern.

Earlier this week, rapper Azealia Banks was arrested outside of the Up & Down after allegedly punching and biting a female bouncer while being removed from the venue.
