7 Sickened By Fumes On Bronx Subway Platform

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Seven people were hospitalized Thursday evening after they were sickened by fumes on a Bronx subway platform.

Around 5:25 p.m., the subway passengers were sickened on the 149th Street platform, serving the No. 2 and 5 trains, in the Melrose section of the Bronx, the FDNY told CBS2.

They were taken to Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, officials said.

The FDNY told WCBS 880 that drugs were involved in the incident.
