GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Six people have been arrested and charged following a brawl at a bowling alley in Garden City, Long Island this past weekend.

Nassau County Third Precinct police officers were called Sunday evening to the Garden City Bowl, at 987 Stewart Ave.

They alleged that Deyahna Curtis, 21, of Hempstead began quarreling with a 24-year-old woman, and the quarrel escalated into a physical fight.

At that point, April Newson, 17, of Hempstead, became involved in the fight and struck the woman, police alleged.

Several others then joined in attacking the woman and someone took her wallet – containing an undisclosed amount of money, debit cards, and personal papers.

Curtis and Newson were charged with robbery and assault. Roberts was charged with assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Grier was charged with assault and disorderly conduct, while Price and Allen were charged with disorderly conduct.

All were arraigned on Monday at Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead.
