Man Sought In Robberies Of Fast Food Restaurants In Brooklyn, Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The robberies happened between Nov. 18 and this past Saturday in the Bath Beach, Manhattan Beach, and Midwood sections of Brooklyn, and the Ozone Park section of Queens.

Police have linked the robberies due to a match in modus operandi, and the description of the suspect provided by the victims in each incident.

• On Wednesday, Nov. 18, at 9:54 a.m., the suspect walked into a Subway sandwich shop at 1864 86th St. in Brooklyn. He took out a gun and demanded cash from the register, police said. The 25-year-old male employee handed over $220 and the suspect fled on foot, police said.

• On Monday, Nov. 23, at 10:45 a.m., the suspect entered another Subway sandwich shop at 135-09 Cross Bay Blvd. in Queens, and took out a gun while demanding cash. A 49-year-old male employee handed over $483, and the suspect left, police said.

• On Saturday, Dec. 19, at 7:30 a.m., the suspect walked into yet another Subway shop, this one at 1613 Oriental Blvd. in Brooklyn. The suspect once again took out a gun and demanded money from the register. Two employees – a 44-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man – handed over $320 and the suspect left, police said.

• On Saturday, Dec. 26, at 6:13 a.m., the suspect entered a Dunkin' Donuts at 1775 Coney Island Ave. in Brooklyn and took out a gun, demanding cash. The 38-year-old woman who was working handed over $125, police said.

None of the victims were injured.

The suspect was described as a black male standing 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 230 to 250 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask and a black bubble-style vest, and carrying a black bag.

Police released a surveillance video from the most recent incident.
