Owner Of New Jersey Gymnastics Business Charged With Child Pornography Possession

FREEHOLD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The owner of a New Jersey gymnastics business that caters to children as young as 2 years old was arrested on child pornography charges this week.

Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni said Ronald Charles, 51, of Freehold Township was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.

Charles owns Galaxy Gymnastics in Freehold. The gym advertises classes for 2-year-olds and older.

Investigators said a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children helped lead them to Charles, who allegedly had tried to send images of child pornography from his email account.

Images of child pornography allegedly were found on a computer seized from Charles' home office.

A voicemail left at Galaxy Wednesday evening was not returned. An attorney representing Charles did not return a message seeking comment.
