LeSean McCoy Expected To Miss Bills' Finale Against Jets

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan says running back LeSean McCoy is not expected to play in the team's season finale against the New York Jets on Sunday because of a right knee injury.

KEIDEL: WIN OR LOSE SUNDAY, JETS HAVE COME A LONG WAY IN A HURRY

Though Ryan wouldn't rule out McCoy entirely, he said "it probably doesn't look real good." McCoy has not practiced since getting hurt in a 35-25 loss at Washington on Dec. 20.

GREEN LANTERN: JETS LOSING TO REX IN THIS SPOT WOULD BE UNFORGIVABLE

The Bills promoted cornerbacks Bud Noel and Sammy Seamster from their practice squad to bolster an injury-depleted defensive backfield. Starting cornerback Stephon Gilmore and backup Ron Brooks are on injured reserve. Rookie starter Ronald Darby's status to play is uncertain because of a groin injury.

DYER: THIS IS A JETS TOWN NOW

Buffalo (7-8), which is out of playoff contention, also signed tight end Manasseh Garner and safety Phillip Thomas to the practice squad.

If the Jets win, they'll clinch their first postseason berth since the 2010 season.
