NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New York comedian Jerry Seinfeld kicked off the new season of his show with a very special guest — President Barack Obama.

The president appeared on Seinfeld’s web series “Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.”

Seinfeld took the president for a drive around the White House grounds in his shiny 1963 Corvette, before Obama invited Seinfeld to check out the presidential limo.

“This is called ‘The Beast,’ basically a caddy on a tank frame,” Obama said of his limo. “I could call a nuclear submarine right from here — I bet you don’t have that in your car. It’s a cool feature — plus, seat warmers.”

The president and Seinfeld chatted about what it’s like to be famous, their morning routines and what life is like in the White House.

“I’ve always wanted to be in a show about nothing, and here I am,” Obama said.

At the end of the segment, Seinfeld let Obama take the wheel of his Corvette.

“You know what, this is a childhood dream,” Obama said as he climbed into the driver’s seat. “This is outstanding.”

Seinfeld said even though the president is not a comedian, he’s landed enough jokes to qualify to be on his show.
