Donald Trump Kicks Muslim Woman Out Of South Carolina Rally For Silent Protest

ROCK HILL, S.C. (CBSNewYork) -- A rally in South Carolina for Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump turned out to be an unwelcome place for one Muslim woman.

Rose Hamid, 56, was kicked out of the event Friday after she stood up in silent protest when Trump suggested that Syrian refugees are affiliated with the Islamic State terrorist organization, CBS2 reported.

Trump supporters then started booing, chanting and jeering are Hamid before police escorted her and three others out of the rally.

Police in Rock Hill said the Trump campaign told them in advance to kick out anyone who caused a disturbance.

This isn't the first time Trump has had protesters removed from an event. In December, about a dozen protesters stormed a $1,000-a-plate New York City luncheon at the Plaza Hotel, where Trump was delivering a speech.

Four protesters chanting "Trump is trying to bring us down, targeting people black and brown," tried to storm a side entrance into the speech as security staff pushed them away. The protesters were affiliated with various Arab-American and Muslim-American groups, as well as groups for racial equality.
