Police: Man Hit By Three Vehicles In Fatal Bronx Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for a suspect in connection to a fatal hit-and-run in the Bronx on Jan. 8, police said.

A 52-year-old man was found lying in the street on 170th Street and Wythe Street at around 10:20 p.m. Friday night, police said. According to police, the man was unconscious and unresponsive. The victim was taken to Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

According to police, the victim was hit by three different vehicles. The first vehicle struck the man to the ground and then drove away, police said. The second vehicle, a green minivan, also drove away after running over the victim. The third vehicle, a black BMW X5, stayed on the scene after striking the victim, police said.

The victim's name has not been released, pending family notification.

Police have released surveillance footage of one of the vehicles involved in the incident, which can be viewed above.

The investigation is ongoing.
