5 Injured, 1 Seriously, Injured In Bronx Building Fire

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was hospitalized with serious injuries Monday evening -- and another civilian and three firefighters were also injured -- in a fire in a Bronx residential building.

The fire broke out early Monday evening in the apartment building at 2922 Barnes Ave., in the Allerton section of the Bronx, officials said.

A woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center with serious injuries, officials said.

Another civilian and three firefighters suffered minor injuries, officials said.
