Model Stephanie Seymour Accused Of Driving Drunk In Connecticut

GREENWICH, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Model Stephanie Seymour was arrested and accused of drunken driving following a crash on an Interstate 95 exit ramp in Greenwich, Connecticut late last week.

The 47-year-old former Victoria's Secret model and actress was cited for allegedly driving under the influence and for unsafe backing following the incident Friday night, according to Connecticut State Police.

Around 9:25 p.m. Friday, state police were called to a two-car crash on the southbound I-95 ramp for Exit 5 in Greenwich, Connecticut. State police saw a black Land Rover sideways at the top of the ramp and a white Mercedes behind it, according to an arrest report.

As a trooper approached the driver of the Land Rover, he detected a strong odor of alcohol emitting from her mouth as she tried to answer questions, state police said.

The trooper asked the driver for her license, registration and insurance six or seven times, and she was finally able to fumble through her purse and retrieve her Connecticut driver's license and a credit card, state police said.

The driver was identified as Seymour, of Greenwich, state police said. The trooper tried to conduct field sobriety tests on Seymour, but she refused to cooperate, state police said.

She was arrested on the spot and has since been released on a $500 non-surety bond, state police said.

Seymour is due back in court on Feb. 2.
