WYANDANCH, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — The morning commute was snarled for some Long Island Rail Road customers on the Ronkonkoma Branch Thursday after a train hit a car on the tracks in Wyandanch.

Video from the scene showed the car with a mangled rear-end and debris strewn across the area.
Service on the Ronkonkoma Branch was suspended between Ronkonkoma and Farmingdale on and off for a time Thursday morning, but was finally restored around 8:30 a.m. with delays.
