Exhibit Takes Look At Intrepid's Time In Vietnam War

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A new exhibit at the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is giving you an up close and personal look at American history during the Vietnam War.

"On the Line" explores the events and experiences of crew members on the Intrepid while deployed in the Gulf of Tonkin.

Jessica Williams, curator of history at the Intrepid Museum, stopped by the CBS2 studios to discuss the new exhibit.

"The exhibit focuses on Intrepid's time in the Vietnam War," Williams told CBS2's Andrea Grymes. "Intrepid served three tours of duty between 1966 and 1969, so visitors will get a glimpse of what was the ship doing, what was its involvement in the Vietnam War and a little bit about how the crew felt about their experiences and what they did."
