Life After NFL: Football Legend Eddie George Finds New Career On Broadway
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A former football star is no stranger to the spotlight, but now he's on a very different stage.
Heisman Trophy winner and ex-Tennessee Titan Eddie George is playing lawyer Billy Flynn in the Broadway production of "Chicago The Musical."
The 42-year-old caught the theater bug as his football career wound down.
He took drama classes, voice lessons, and even performed Shakespeare in his hometown of Nashville before auditioning for Broadway.
"If you trust and go through the process, and show up every day with the intention to get better and better, and be humble, things will just start to unfold like you could never imagine," George told CBS News.
George, who also runs a financial services firm catering to athletes and a landscaping business, will be performing in the musical through Feb. 28.
