Jennifer Lawrence Is Year's Highest Paid Oscar Nominee At $52 Million

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)-- Jennifer Lawrence tops the list of highest-paid Oscar nominees this year, according to Forbes.

Lawrence reportedly made an estimated $52 million before taxes between June 2014 and June 2015.

Lawrence made headlines last year after addressing her frustration over pay inequality among her and her male co-stars working on "American Hustle."

"When the Sony hack happened and I found out how much less I was being paid than the lucky people with dicks, I didn't get mad at Sony. I got mad at myself," she wrote in an essay for Lenny Letter. "I failed as a negotiator because I gave up early. I didn't want to keep fighting over millions of dollars that, frankly, due to two franchises, I don't need."

Leonardo DiCaprio came in second, making $29 million last year. The actress is nominated this year for her role as Joy Mangano in David O. Russell's "Joy."
