Gerber Recalls Organic Baby Food Over Spoiling Concerns

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Gerber is recalling four batches of organic baby food pouches over a packaging defect that may lead to product spoiling.

Affected products include two batches of the Gerber Organic 2nd Foods Pear, Carrots and Peas, 3.5 ounce, and two batches of the Carrots Apples and Mangoes, 3.5 ounce.

The company says warning signs of an affected product include packages that appear bloated, or food that smells or tastes abnormal.

Gerber is asking customers to contact their Parent Resource Center at 1-800-706-0556 for coupons or other replacement opportunities.

The products were distributed nationwide.
