Police: 3 Stabbed, 2 Charged Following Violent Dispute At New Jersey Home

PASSAIC, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP)-- Three people were stabbed inside a New Jersey home after a dispute turned violent.

One man was hospitalized in critical condition and the other two are facing attempted murder charges.

Police went to the apartment around 4:10 a.m. Sunday after a caller reported a disturbance. They found a 20-year-old man had been stabbed in the abdomen, while another man was cut on the neck and a third had cuts on his hand.

The latter two men, Jeremy Ayuso and Jordan Cabrera, both 23-year-old Passaic residents, were treated at a hospital and released. But both were later charged with attempted murder, conspiracy and a weapons offense.

The other man underwent surgery and was listed in critical condition. His name has not been released.

A motive for the attack hasn't been determined.

It wasn't known if Ayuso or Cabrera have retained attorneys.
