LISTEN: Francesa Talks About Syracuse's 'Tremendous Comeback'

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- "Boy, Jim Boeheim can tell everyone I told you so."

That's what Mike Francesa said during his show's open Monday about Syracuse's improbable run to the Final Four. The Orangemen overcame a 16-point deficit Sunday against Virginia to move on.

"Syracuse, a team that a lot of folks, I mean a lot of folks, either had going out as their lock early in the tournament, or didn't have them even belonging in the tournament, now in the Final Four thanks to a tremendous comeback," Francesa said.

Syracuse was 19-13 and lost five out of their last six games heading into the NCAA Tournament. Now they are two wins away from a national championship.

"At halftime I thought the game was over. I did not see that comeback coming because I thought Virginia would be tough enough, resilient enough with that lead and that defense it would be very hard for a team like Syracuse to get enough easy looks and enough baskets and then who would've thought Virginia would've collapsed the way it did under that pressure of the Syracuse press," Francesa said.

Francesa also talked about Villanova's run to the Final Four. Listen to the entire show open below.
