Watch: 'Brigitte Quinn's 22 Minutes With' Actress Patina Miller

In this installment of "22 Minutes," 1010 WINS anchor Brigitte Quinn sits down with Tony-award winning actress and singer, Patina Miller.

In this episode, the actress who currently plays Daisy on "Madame Secretary" talks about this exciting time in her life, explains why she tries not to think about ratings and how discusses which is tougher: Working on Broadway vs TV.

BQ: So, what's the deal for Daisy? Is her clock ticking here a little bit?

PM: Her clock is ticking. Like she says she's two years behind on her life plan. Everything was supposed to be right -- she's one of those people who follows through. She has a list, she checks it off and she's just that way. Things have fallen behind for her so she's trying to figure out if this guy is really the one for her. She has places and things she wants to do do with her life.

BQ: When the show started, it got a lot of attention because people said, 'Oh, it's the Hillary Clinton Show, Madame Secretary.' But Tea Leoni's character -- that's not Hillary.

PM: No it's not Hillary. I think what Tea's done is really create a wonderful, wonderful woman that I think we can all look up to and she's just this powerhouse and, um, you know she's taken from a lot of things and Hillary Clinton wasn't the only female secretary of state so she's kinda taken from a lot of things. I think what she's done that's so brilliant is made it her own and it's what she -- her take on what "Madame Secretary" is and it's been so cool to watch her in her process.

BQ: I'm wondering: Is the TV job ... is having a TV series a little bit easier than the rigors of doing a Broadway show?

PM: Yes. It's challenging in a different way but it's certainly easier on the body. You know, eight shows a week is not ... it's not easy. You know, I always say I look at Broadway performers and being on Broadway is, you know we're athletes in a way, because we have to keep our bodies and our minds and our voices and everything together to do it eight times a week ... eight times a week no matter what. It's always -- you're always on the go. And TV, you can kind of sit in your dressing room and, you know, think about your lines, chill out and then you're on and then that presents a whole other challenge of trying to be on, then off, on then off so much ... getting your adrenaline.

In a show, you know it's two hours and a half -- you know where your character is going and you just do that thing everyday and try to bring new energy. In TV, you're finding new things about your character and the people you worked with every script. You know, we don't always film things in order so it presents challenges  in some ways but it's all wonderful, it's all what makes me happy.
