The "madness" that began in March, concluded Monday night in Houston with Villanova being crowned NCAA men's basketball national champions after beating North Carolina, 77-74.

Boomer & Carton got Tuesday's radio program going with their focus squarely on the hardwood, as 'Nova head coach Jay Wright won his first title and the school's first since 1985 on the heels of Kris Jenkins' long 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded.

Then it was on to the baseball, as both locals were scheduled to play Tuesday. The Yankees were set to take on the Astros in the chilly Bronx, which by default made Tuesday a "Tanaka Tuesday," while the Mets were to give the ball to Noah Syndergaard with the hopes of getting a win in Kansas City.
