Beyonce Suing Texas Company Over Sale of 'Feyonce' Products

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Global superstar Beyonce wants a Texas company to stop selling a line of "Feyonce" merchandise aimed at brides-to-be.

She's suing the company claiming they're trying to associate their products with her trademarked name.

Items include a coffee mug that says "Feyonce - Put A Ring On It," recalling a line from Beyonce's 2008 hit, "Single Ladies."

The lawsuit is accusing the firm of "trademark infringement, unfair competition, trademark dilution, among a score of other statutory and common law violations," BBC reported.

"Defendants have willfully traded upon the goodwill and notoriety of Beyonce, arguably one of the most famous musical artists and entrepreneurs in the world," the papers read.

Beyonce previously threatened to take legal action against craft website Etsy for selling similar products with alleged copyright infringements.

The company has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
