Victim Extricated Vehicle After T-Bone Crash In Connecticut

WESTPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork) -- Westport firefighters were on the scene Wednesday morning after a T-bone crash that left one victim trapped inside a vehicle, officials said.

According to officials, members of the Westport Fire Department responded to the two-car crash on Post Road East and Cedar road at around 7 a.m. Additional manpower had to be called in after it was found that a victim had to be extricated from one of the impacted vehicles, according to officials.

The victim was placed into the care of Westport emergency medical personnel for examination.

The status of the victim, or others involved in the crash was not immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
