NYPD Gun Buy-Back Program Nets 85 Firearms In Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD said a gun buy-back conducted in Queens Saturday was a success.
Police released a photo of 85 working firearms that were turned in. Those who turned in the firearms received a $200 pre-paid American Express cards.
There's no limit to the number of firearms that can be surrendered, but people are limited to three of the gift cards.
The gun buy-back program aims to get illegal and unwanted weapons off the streets.
