NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Spring is in full bloom, and so are the cherry blossoms. They’re just in time for the 35th anniversary of Sakura Matsuri, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s celebration of traditional and contemporary Japanese culture.

The event is April 30 and May 1.

Yoshi Amao, the festival’s master of ceremonies, stopped by the CBS2 studios to discuss this year’s event. To watch the interview, click on the audio player above.
