NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A passing truck clipped the elbow of a crane in Morningside Heights Monday morning, officials said.

The incident took place at around 10: 30 a.m. near 250 West 114th Street, close to Frederick Douglass Boulevard.

The operator was aloft in the bucket of the crane when it was hit.

Another bucket was sent up to rescue him. He suffered minor injuries, EMS officials said.
