Raging Blaze On Fire Island Nearly Destroys Home, Damages 2 Others

FIRE ISLAND, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- A raging fire on Fire Island nearly destroys a vacant home and damages two others.

The fire happened Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the Fair Harbor section on Elm Walk.

The flames were so high that the blaze was visible from the Long Island mainland.

No injuries were reported.
