Division Avenue High School In Levittown Closed Due To Possible Asbestos

LEVITTOWN, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Division Avenue High School in Levittown is closed Thursday for all students and staff because of a safety alert.

A contractor drilled into an area where school officials suspect asbestos may be present. The contractor was trying to replace light fixtures when the incident happened.

No word yet when the school will reopen.
