Police Seek Identity Of Woman Found Wandering In Brooklyn Municipal Building

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were trying to determine the identity of a woman found wandering in the Brooklyn Municipal Building in Downtown Brooklyn over the weekend.

Around noon Saturday, police found the woman wandering in the building at 210 Joralemon St. The woman does not speak English, and an interpreter told police her speech was incoherent, police said.

The woman could not provide contact information for friends or relatives, police said.

The woman was described as an Asian female between 80 and 90 years old, standing 5 feet tall and weighing 100 pounds.

She was wearing a green, red and blue sweater, a black winter hat, black pants, and black shoes. She had a keys tied around her neck by a string.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS or (888) 57-PISTA for Spanish, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
