Search On For Suspect Who Stabbed, Slashed Men In Chinatown Fight

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Friday were searching for a suspect who stabbed a teen and slashed another man in Chinatown, in a fight over a broken gaming machine.

Around 11:10 p.m. Sunday, May 8, the 18-year-old victim was in quarrel in the building at 39 Eldridge St. over a broken gaming machine, police said.

The suspect then pushed the victim into the wall face first and stabbed him in the lower torso with an unknown object, police said.

The victim's friend, a 20-year-old man, tried to intervene in the fight, and the suspect slashed him in the left arm with an unknown object, police said.

The suspect then ran off in an unknown direction, police said.

The victims were treated and released from Bellevue Hospital Center, police said.

The suspect was described as an Asian male around 30 years old with black hair and a light complexion, police said. He was last seen wearing a green shirt and a yellow jacket.

Police have released a surveillance photo and video.
