Orthodox Jewish Community In Brooklyn Dealing With Chickenpox Outbreak

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The New York City Health Department has sent out a warning about a chickenpox outbreak in Brooklyn.

The Health Department said 75 people have been infected since March in the Orthodox Jewish community in Williamsburg.

The average patient is 3 years old.

Most of the patients were not vaccinated against chickenpox, or did not get the recommended number of doses.

Health officials are asking parents to make sure their kids are up to date with vaccines.
