Guests Evacuated During Fire At 'The Pod Hotel' On The Upper East Side
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An Upper East Side restaurant and hotel were evacuated on Monday, because of a fire.
Guests stood outside of The Pod Hotel on East 51st Street while firefighters went to work.
They said it was a small fire in the kitchen of the hotel's Salvation Burger restaurant, but it gave off a lot of smoke that traveled throughout the 13 floors of the hotel.
One firefighter was injured.
