NYPD: Woman Fatally Stabbed In Back, Torso At Brooklyn YWCA

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A woman was charged with murder after police said she stabbed another woman to death at a YWCA in Brooklyn early Saturday morning.

According to police, 48-year-old Liza Millet was fatally stabbed multiple times in the back and torso at the YWCA on 3rd Avenue in the Boerum Hill section of Brooklyn at around 6:28 a.m.

Dorothy Curry, 55, was charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon. She was also taken to Kings County Hospital for a psychological evaluation.

Police say a knife was recovered at the scene.

According to the YWCA, neither the suspect nor the victim had a history of violence.

The investigation is ongoing.
