2 People Survive Small Plane Crash In New Jersey

FAIRFIELD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Two people walked away from a small plane crash in Fairfield, New Jersey, Sunday afternoon.

The Fairfield Police Department said in a statement that a single-engine plane was attempting to land at Essex County Airport when it is believed the plane may have clipped a tree on its approach around 12:15 p.m.

The pilot of the 1985 Beech F33A fixed wing, 46-year-old Tal Kienan of New York City, said he experienced some engine problems upon his approach.

Kienan and his passenger were uninjured and refused any medical transport.
