WEST HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — State park police have made an arrest in connection with the stabbing at Hempstead Lake State Park last month.

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with six felonies and one misdemeanor, CBS2 reported. His name has not been released.

Police said the stabbing broke out on a park foot path on May 23 when the teen and some friends confronted another group of teens.

Authorities said more arrests are expected.
