Cops: Suspect Pulled Gun On Rider During Robbery At Van Siclen Ave Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who robbed a straphanger at gun point inside of the Van Siclen Avenue 3-Train station.

Police said the suspect approached a 19-year-old man and offered to pay his fare.

When the victim declined, the suspect jumped over a turnstile, opened the emergency gate, and told the victim to enter the station.

The victim walked through the gate and the suspect followed him into a stairway and pointed a gun at him before reaching into the victim's pocket and taking his cell phone.

The suspect took off in an unknown direction. He has been described as a black male between 25 and 30-years-old, 5'10" tall, and weighing 175-lbs. He was last seen wearing a white hooded sweater, a black baseball cap, and dark colored cargo pants.
