NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The co-owner of the popular L&B Spumoni Gardens restaurant was found shot to death in Dyker Heights, Brooklyn on Thursday evening, sources told CBS2.
Around 7:15 p.m., police found Louis Barbati, 61, with multiple gunshots to the torso in the backyard of his home near 12th Avenue and 76th Street in Brooklyn, police sources said. L&B Spumoni Gardens is a popular family-style restaurant in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. It was founded by Ludovico Barbati in 1939, according to the restaurant website.
