NORWALK, Conn. (CBSNewYork) – Norwalk Police are searching for a suspect following an assault near a summer camp, prompting a lockdown.

The incident took place on Highland Avenue, near Roton Middle School, which also hosts summer camps.

The camps were placed on lockdown following the attack.

Police say the suspect is a white male in his 50s, has short, white spikey hair, is red faced, heavy set, and was wearing a yellow shirt, jean shorts and white sneakers.

The search also caused brief delays along Metro North’s New Haven Line.
