7/4 CBS2 Sunday Afternoon Weather Headlines

By Justin Lewis
CBS2 Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Sunshine will give way to some extra clouds Monday afternoon. Areas south and west could even see a late-day shower. For the fireworks show, we're leaving in a slight chance with a better chance off to our south and west. Then, late Monday evening into the overnight, expect periods of rain, which could be heavy at times, with the possibility of isolated flooding.

Some early rain Tuesday will give way to partial sunshine in the afternoon, though a leftover shower north and west can't be ruled out. It will be warm and even muggier with highs in the mid 80s.

Wednesday's looking mostly sunny, but the heat will certainly be on! Highs will be in the low 90s, and it will be a bit humid out there.

As for Thursday, it will still be hot and humid with a slight chance of a thunderstorm.
