NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — The greatest shortstop in New York Yankees history has finally tied the knot.
WCBS 880’s Kelly Waldron reported Derek Jeter, 42, married model Hannah Davis, 26, in a small ceremony with only close friends and family in Napa, California, at the Meadowood resort on Saturday.
The couple reportedly celebrated their engagement at the same venue with their families.
Jeter proposed to Davis in October after dating for three years.
There were less than 100 guests at the wedding, including former teammates Jorge Posada, Andruw Jones and Tino Martinez.
Davis invited some of her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue model friends as she wanted to keep the wedding simple.
David previously told Entertainment Tonight her wedding dress was designed by Vera Wang.
“Vera’s actually designing my dress, that’s why I was at the show today,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “Ever since I was little, I think it was the first bridal brand I even know, and I’ve been a fan of hers ever since and my heart was set on it. She was gracious enough to do it for me.”
Jeter, a five-time World Series champion, retired from the Yankees after the 2014 season.
