Actress Laura Benanti delivered a spot-on impression of Mrs. Trump on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and explained she did not plagiarize her speech at the RNC Monday evening.

On Wednesday, a Trump Organization staff writer said she made a “mistake” in including passages from a Michelle Obama speech in Melania Trump’s convention speech.

Earlier Wednesday, Donald Trump tweeted that the media was spending more time analyzing Melania’s speech than the FBI spent on Hillary Clinton’s emails.

He also defended Melania’s speech and said it was not plagiarized.

“I wrote it — with a little help as possible,” she told Matt Lauer in an interview Monday.
