Straphanger Beat With Cane Inside Mezzanine At Queens Subway Stop

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a man who attacked a Queens straphanger with a cane.

At 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, the suspect approached a 24-year-old man inside the mezzanine of the Sutphin Boulevard and Archer Ave subway station and beat him with a cane.

The suspect took off, and EMS transported the victim to Elmhurst General Hospital where he was treated and released.

The suspect has been described as a black male with a heavy build, wearing a black du-rag, blue shirt, and blue jeans.
