Man, Woman Wounded In Bronx Shooting

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man and woman were wounded Monday evening in the Bronx.

Around 6:30 p.m., shots rang out at 179th Street and Grand Concourse in the Mount Hope section of the Bronx, police said.

A 20-year-old woman and a 63-year-old man were each wounded in the leg, police said. Both were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital and were expected to survive, police said.

The people who were shot did not know each other, and appeared to be unintended targets, police said.
