NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Heat and humidity are returning to New York City and parts of New Jersey, setting the stage for another possible heat wave.

A heat advisory is in effect for New York City and for Mercer, Gloucester, Camden and northwest Burlington counties in New Jersey.

CHECK: Forecast & Alerts

Forecasters say temperatures in the low to mid 90s in New Jersey will combine with humidity to make it feel like it's as much as 104 degrees in some spots.

In the city, a high of 90 degrees is expected Thursday, but it will feel like the upper 90s in the afternoon.

More of the same is expected on Friday and Saturday.
