Jamie Gonzalez, of Queens, was first in line at Apple's flagship store on Fifth Avenue.

He had been waiting there since Aug. 25.

"It's kind of hard. I cannot wait to go back home and stay there for as long as I want," he told 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck. "I haven't slept in my bed since 23 days ago."

The iPhone 7 Plus and the iPhone 7 in jet black sold out in pre-orders and won't be available for walk-in customers, the company said. The regular iPhone should be available in stores in other colors.

The new iPhone features improved camera resolution, zooming and editing capabilities, as well as a waterproof design.
