Officers Shoot Man Wielding Machete In Clark, New Jersey, Police Say

CLARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Police shot a machete-wielding man in Clark, New Jersey Tuesday evening.

The confrontation happened around 7:30 p.m. on Lake Avenue near Cellar Avenue in Clark, police said.

Officers were at the location responding to a call of a domestic incident, police said.

Police said they opened fire when the suspect lunged at them with the machete.

There was no word on the suspect's condition.

No officers were hurt.
