Suspicious Backpack Found In NoLIta Turns Out To Be Full Of Clothes
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Subway service was disrupted on multiple lines Tuesday night due to a suspicious backpack that was found in NoLIta, but the backpack just had clothes in it.
The backpack was found at Spring and Lafayette streets at 8:42 p.m. police and fire officials told CBS2.
As police investigated, No. 6 trains were bypassing the Spring Street stop in both directions, while N and R trains were skipping Prince Street in both directions, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
Shortly before 10 p.m., police said the scene was clear and the backpack only contained clothes.
