Jets Taking Cautious Approach With Hobbled Marshall And Decker

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall sat out practice while he recovers from a knee injury that briefly sidelined him against Buffalo last week.

Marshall was also listed on the team's injury report Wednesday with a foot ailment, but said Monday he hopes to play Sunday at Kansas City.

Fellow wide receiver Eric Decker also did not practice while dealing with a sore shoulder. Coach Todd Bowles says it's too early to tell whether he and Marshall will be available to play.

Left guard James Carpenter (calf), linebacker Erin Henderson (foot) and third-string quarterback Bryce Petty (right shoulder) also sat out.

Running back Matt Forte, second in the NFL with 196 yards rushing, was a limited participant with what Bowles says is "just a sore knee."

Rookie linebacker Jordan Jenkins practiced fully for the first time since injuring his calf during camp.
