NYPD: Man Hits Queens Bartender In Head With Glass After She Refuses To Serve Him Any More Drinks

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are trying to identify a man who they said assaulted a female bartender in Queens after she refused to serve him any more drinks because he didn't pay his previous tab.

It happened around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 18 inside the J Jack Bar Room on Sanford Avenue.

Police said the man grabbed the 38-year-old bartender by her hair and hit her in the head with a glass. He then fled in an unknown direction.

The bartender was taken the hospital where she needed five stitches to her head, police said.

The suspect was seen on surveillance video. Police describe him as an Asian man between the ages of 45 and 50, about 5'7" tall and 170 to 175 pounds. He was wearing a black and white baseball cap, a dark-colored shirt and light-colored shorts.
