Elderly Woman Attacked, Robbed By Teen Male And Female In Midtown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- An elderly woman was injured when she was attacked and robbed by two people in midtown.

At 9:35 p.m. on Wednesday, an unidentified male and female thew an 82-year-old woman to the ground on 36th Street between Madison and Park Avenue, and took off with a handbag containing a wallet, $200, keys, her ID, a flip phone, and credit cards.

The woman suffered a split lip, chipped tooth, and abrasions to the knee and elbow. She refused medical attention at the scene.

The unidentified suspects were both black. The male looked about 17-years-old with cornrows, and a large black and white backpack.

The female had long, red hair.
